Diana Loya for House District 87
Meet Diana
I was born in Mexico and came to the United States in second grade. I learned English in one year and went on to become an honors student. Like many Panhandle families, I was raised to believe that hard work, grit, and sacrifice are how you build a life.
I met my husband in high school just two weeks before he was deployed to Iraq. We started our family young and learned what it means to serve and support from behind the scenes. During his deployment, I worked, went to college, raised our daughter, paid off our debt, and bought our first home. I learned resilience, responsibility, and how to hold down the fort.
For the past 20 years, I’ve worked in public education, seeing firsthand the challenges our schools and educators face. I earned my master’s degree in Educational Leadership in 2021. Education isn’t just my job, it’s my calling.
I’m running for Texas House District 87 because the Panhandle deserves real representation. We need practical solutions for teacher shortages, fair pay, rural healthcare, workforce development, and support for veterans and families. The Panhandle deserves a representative who will make informed decisions about our area and will not be persuaded by Austin politics.
HD 87 is home. I’m ready to be a strong, steady voice for the Panhandle. I have the experience, am a servant leader, and will focus on getting results.
